Submission Instructions

The BYU International Law & Management Review (ILMR) is a biannual publication edited and operated by law and graduate management students at Brigham Young University. The ILMR selects for publication articles that provide practical insights into current issues faced by law and management professionals and that meet the Review's quality standards.

Deadlines

The Review will consider all submissions received before December 31, 2008 for the Spring 2009 edition to be published in April/May 2009. Submissions received after that deadline will be admitted into the 2009 writing competition and considered for publication in the Winter 2009 edition.

Format

1. Submit only one copy of any work for consideration.

2. Subject headings should be descriptive rather than numbered section divisions. Number all pages at the bottom-center.

3. All submissions should include the following for consideration:

- Title page with the descriptive title of the article, the names of all authors and their highest academic degrees, any relevant professional and academic affiliations, and the full address, phone, and fax numbers as well as e-mail address for the corresponding author;

- CV for all authors, including relevant publications and other affiliations not mentioned on the title page;

- A list of acknowledgments, including sources of financial support for the article, if any;

- Full body of the article, without reference to the author(s) names; and

- All figures and/or tables used in their original file format, e.g., Microsoft Excel, even if embedded in the body.

4. Submissions should be double-spaced, have 1" margins, and use footnotes rather than endnotes.

Citation

Text and citations should conform to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (18th ed. 2005), copyright by the Columbia Law Review Association, the Harvard Law Review Association, the University of Pennsylvania Law Review, and the Yale Law Journal.

Previously Presented Work

Articles previously presented at conferences or symposia, whether in full or in abstract form, are invited for review, assuming that they have not been published or selected to be published elsewhere. Authors should disclose such information upon submission. Please contact eic@byuilmr.org if you have any questions regarding the propriety of making such a submission, especially for works published outside of the United States.

Electronic Submissions

Electronic submissions are encouraged and preferred. Send articles in electronic format, in conformance with the above criteria, to: eic@byuilmr.org
