In addition to the typical benefits of editorial experience, the ILMR offers the following incentives to ensure that it recruits top-quality students:

• Law School Credit – All law student editors are permitted to receive credit for their work on the ILMR by enrolling in the international research seminar offered by the J. Reuben Clark Law School; students are permitted to receive one credit per semester.

• Marriott School Credit – All management student editors are permitted to receive credit for their work on the ILMR by enrolling in the international research seminar offered by the Marriott School of Management; students are permitted to receive one credit per semester.

The ILMR regularly conducts research and editorial training workshops for student editors. To ensure the quality of this training, many of the ILMR ’s Editorial Board members are expert student editors whose main responsibilities are to provide editorial training, which in turn ensures a high level of product quality.

Professors Jim Backman and Erv Black mentor and help student editors to develop strong editing and writing skills. In addition to editorial training, the editorial board’s research editors train students in the unique skills required for international legal and management research.
